Deborah Chow directed the six-episode limited series “Obi-Wan Kenobi.”

It is the latest “Star Wars” live-action series to hit Disney+.

She said she was “very mindful” of respecting already established canon.

The series bridges the gap between the prequel and original trilogy.

She told EW, “it's an honor to take these characters and be able to tell a new story with them.”

“I wanted to be very respectful to what exists,” she explained.

She said she didn’t want to “change anything that George intended originally.”

However, she noted that there’s going to be “a little bit more room for interpretation” on certain details.

“Obi-Wan Kenobi” debuts on Disney+ on May 27, 2022.
