Simone Johnson, daughter of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, has finally revealed her professional wrestling name.

Fans criticized her name choice and commented that she should have chosen a name relating to her father’s name.

In 2020, the WWE announced that Johnson had begun training at its performance center in Florida.

In her own statement, Johnson said the opportunity meant the world to her and posted a photo of her in a WWE shirt.

Johnson revealed on Twitter that she had chosen “Ava Raine” as her professional wrestling name.

Many wrestling fans criticized the choice and offered suggestions, such as “The Pebble” which is a long running joke.

She had to address the comments and said she doesn’t understand why the name disparity is a heated topic.

She also said a name doesn’t discredit her family’s history and that people would criticize her no matter what.

Johnson will become the first fourth-generation wrestler in WWE history when she debuts.
