Contestant Danielle Maurer defeated Mattea Roach on “Jeopardy!”.

Roach had won 23 games in a row before Danielle came along.

Danielle recently sat down with “Jeopardy!” to talk about her win.

She knew there was a “strong possibility” that she’d face a super champ.

Matt Amodio began season 38 by setting a new second-place record of 38 games.

In January, Amy Schneider broke his record by winning 40 games in a row in January.

Danielle said that she practiced with the expectation that she’d face a super champ.

“It doesn’t matter how well you do the day that you’re on the show,” she said.

She reminded hopefuls that “Just getting there is such an achievement within itself.”
