Damon Wayans and his son Damon Wayans Jr. are partnering on a new project.

They are set to star in a CBS untitled project co-written by Damon Sr. and Kevin Hench.

The project revolves around a man who has to drag his grown son into adulthood before turning 40.

Damon, Damon Jr., and Hench are executive producers of the project.

It will mark the older Wayans' return to network comedy.

The 62-year-old had a breakout moment in the first Black sketch comedy series, "In Living Color."

He favors stand-up comedy and tours as a stand-up comic despite his works in other films.

Damon previously backed fellow comedian Dave Chappelle following the hate he got for his work on "Closer."

He believed Chappelle freed the comedians to embrace their freedom of speech.
