DaBaby’s

Faux Apology Over Homophobic Slur Raises More Backlash

The rapper is facing a series of backlash since he blurted out homophobic comments on a live stage.

DaBaby made statements at Rolling Loud about people living with HIV that did not resonate well with fans worldwide, especially people representing the LGBTQ+ community.

Many fans & celebs slammed and condemned him for his comments. DaBaby eventually apologized via social media, but many believe his apology lacked sincerity.

"Anybody who done ever been effected[sic] by AIDS/HIV y’all got the right to be upset, what I said was insensitive even though I have no intentions on offending anybody. So my apologies,"  he tweeted.

His tweet continued, "But the LGBT community... I ain’t trippin on y’all, do you. y’all business is y’all business."

While some influential people, like T.I., stood up for the rapper, other celebs, like Elton John and his 'Levitating' collaborator Dua Lipa, spoke out against him.
