A GoFundMe page created for actor John Amos by his daughter, Shannon Amos, has been removed.

The actor, known from "Good Times", initially denied being a victim of elder abuse, but later claimed he was, implicating his daughter.

Shannon established the GoFundMe, alleging that her father was critically ill in the ICU, a victim of elder abuse, and needed funds for legal and medical support.

The goal was $500,000, but the campaign raised only around $13,000 before it was taken down.

GoFundMe confirmed the removal of the page, stating that John Amos declined the funds.

The raised money is being returned to donors, who made contributions ranging from small amounts up to a single donation of $500.

Following the creation of the GoFundMe, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation announced an investigation into the claims of elder abuse.

John Amos released a statement to TMZ, calling the GoFundMe a lie, denying being critically ill, and expressing confusion about his daughter's actions.

A week later, he reiterated to People magazine that he was well, demanding the GoFundMe stop and funds be returned.

Despite his denial, Shannon claimed on Instagram that her father's life was hanging by a thread, prompting the ongoing investigation by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
