Critics don’t seem to be a fan of 2022’s “Firestarter.”

The latest adaption of the Stephen King book finally hit theaters on May 13.

Fortunately, it’s also available to stream on Peacock.

Critics gave the film a 19% rating on Rotten Tomatoes as of Friday afternoon.

The audience score currently sits at 45%.

Many critics compared it to the 1984 original, starring Drew Barrymore.

One critic joked that the scariest part of the movie was Zac Efron’s acting.

Another critic called the movie “a soulless remake of an already iffy Stephen King adaptation.”

Many critics only gave the film one star, with one calling it “bang-on bad.”
