Jussie Smollett was sentenced to 30 months’ probation and 150 days in jail.

However, his legal team is trying to get an appeal.

They claim that “he will be irreparably harmed” if he serves his sentence.

The documents allege that he has become the “target of vicious threats in the social media forums.”

He said this commentary “reflects the hatred and wish for physical harm towards Smollett.”

Smollett is also housed in a jail cell by himself at Cook County Jail.

The court documents allege that this is a euphemism for solitary confinement.

However, the Cook County Sheriff’s Office has said they abolished the practice in 2016.

They say that Jussie is allowed time out of his cell to watch TV, make phone calls, and interact with staff.
