Coldplay announced in a statement on their Instagram that they’re postponing their Brazil shows.

The statement revealed that singer Chris Martin had a “serious lung infection,” so he took a medical break.

According to the band’s website, they’re still expected to perform at several shows in Argentina, starting from October 25th.

In the statement, the band explained that they’re prioritizing Martin’s health by postponing the shows.

The statement also said they’re very optimistic that Martin will fully recover from the infection and return to perform.

Fans flooded the post’s comment section to share their well-wishes and show support to the band.

Coldplay previously revealed that they almost canceled the world tour while it was still in its planning stage.

Martin said a “big financial crisis” threatened the band and their plans for the first time ever.

They received some help financially which allowed them to continue with the plans for the tour.
