“CODA” just picked up a big win at the 2022 SAG Awards.

The film won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

They were facing stiff competition for the top prize of the night.

This included “Belfast,” “Don’t Look Up,” “House of Gucci,” and “King Richard.”

“CODA” features a mostly Deaf ensemble cast.

CODA is an acronym that stands for Child of a Deaf Adult.

Marlee Matlin plays the mother and Troy Kotsur plays the father.

Matlin was the first Deaf actress to win an Oscar for 1987’s “Children of a Lesser God.”

Kotsur, who just picked up an individual SAG Award tonight, is hoping to be the second Deaf person to score an Oscar 35 years later.
