Christina Ricci is sounding off on the controversy surrounding actress Andrea Riseborough.

Riseborough was nominated for "Best Actress in a Leading Role" at this year's Oscars.

Her surprising nomination may have caused the Academy to review its campaign procedures.

She starred in "To Leslie," which grossed only $27,000 at the box office.

However, many noticed that black stars like Viola Davis and Danielle Deadwyler were snubbed despite big performance.

The Academy released a statement confirming that they ensure the Oscars' fairness.

Following the announcement, Ricci aired her thoughts.

She claimed the review was “elitist” and “exclusive” because Riseborough or her movie didn’t have a lot of money for campaign.

Ricci also declared it would be a shame if Riseborough’s nomination was rescinded.
