Chris Evans Answers Critics Of His Casting In 'Lightyear'

Chris Evans stars as Buzz Lightyear in the new Disney movie “Lightyear.”

While his casting has been applauded by many, others seem to disapprove of it.

A lot of fans wanted Tim Allen, the voice of Buzz Lightyear in the “Toy Story” franchise to take on the role.

Evans stated that no matter what “Tim Allen is Buzz Lightyear.”

According to Evans, his character is much different from the one voiced by Allen.

While Allen plays the Toy version of Buzz Lightyear, Evans plays the actual hero who inspired the creation of the Toy.

Evans role also calls for less comedy but he still manages to throw in a bit of it in his character.

“Everybody Loves Raymond” actress Patricia Heaton was particularly angered by the casting decision.
