Channing Tatum looked back at his relationship with Jenna Dewan after almost five years.

The actor revealed that the separation was “really scary” and “terrifying” at the beginning as he was sad that things ended that way.

Tatum also noted that their divorce came after a long time of fighting the fact that they’d “grown apart.”

Tatum and Dewan met on the “Step Up” film set in 2006 and got married three years later in 2009.

Becoming parents to their daughter also made Tatum and Dewan realize how different they were.

Following the divorce, Tatum worked on himself and channeled all his energy into their daughter, who is now his best friend.

Dewan was also downcast about their split and wrote about it in her book Gracefully You: Finding Beauty and Balance in the Everyday.

Tatum revealed that he doesn’t think he will ever marry again despite his current relationship with Kravitz.

Dewan is now engaged to get married again to actor Steve Kazee with whom she shares a two-year-old son Callum.
