Brooke Shields Says She Was Sexually Assaulted In Her Twenties

Brooke Shields revealed she was raped as a young adult.

Shields didn't name the perpetrator of the act but claimed she knew him.

She shared that she blamed herself for the incident.

The actress said that then she couldn't process the incident even after it was pointed out to her by an aide.

She didn't fight back because she was afraid it would escalate into a physical altercation.

Shields explained that she went through therapy to be able to talk about it.
