The human remains found at an environmental park in Florida are those of Brian Laundrie.
According to the FBI Denver, “On October 21, 2021, a comparison of dental records confirmed thtat the human remains of the T. Mabry Carlton Jr. Memorial Reserve and Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park are those of Brian Laundrie.”
His remains were found about 40-minutes into the swampy marsh.
The remains were reportedly were found at a site being searched by a cadaver dog within the park. This particular area was previously underwater, which could mean the body was submerged before being discovered.
Brian left his parent’s house on September 13 to take a walk in the environmental park, but went missing soon after.
His parents filed a missing person’s report on September 17.
The Laundrie family lawyer, Steve Bertolino told Insider, "Chris and Roberta Laundrie have been informed that the remains found yesterday in the reserve are indeed Brian's.”
"We have no further comment at this time and we ask that you respect the Laundrie's privacy at this time," the lawyer concluded.
