A new report shared by PEOPLE is sharing insight into Bob Saget’s death.

Chief Medical Examiner Joshua Stephany M.D. conducted the autopsy.

He concluded that Saget was suffered by “something hard, covered by something soft.”

He suggested that “a carpeted floor” might have been the cause of his head injury.

Bob Saget died from a brain bleed as a result of blunt force trauma.

There were fractures and abrasions in the back of his skull and above his eyes.

The report indicated there was no blood on the sheets or bedspread.

They said the counters and tables also had sharp edges that weren’t consistent with the injury he sustained.

His death has been ruled an accident by authorities.
