Black Friday crime is on the rise in California, and two reported instances have already come to the fore.

The trend of flash-mob robberies is increasing in the recent days, and authorities in Los Angeles and other locations in California have increased vigilance.

That still did not stop two incidents for going down on Black Friday, just a day after Thanksgiving.

The first incident went down at 8:30 pm at the Home Depot in Lakewood, where a mob of robbers, aged 15-20 stormed the store.

The thieves made off with many tools like hammer, sledgehammers and more, into about 10 vehicles waiting for them outside the store.

While authorities were still contending with this, another robbery took place at the Beverly Grove area at the Bottega Veneta store.

An unconfirmed number of suspects burst into the store and made away with high-end merchandise, armed with pepper spray.

No reports of arrests have come through for now, although both LAPD and CPD have promises swift action.

These incidents took place despite heightened security measures as promised by California gov. Gavin Newsom and LA Police Chief Michel Moore. More news awaited.
