Anne Heche’s son Homer Laffoon has refuted James Tupper’s claims that he and his mother were estranged at the time of her death.

He added that his legal team had tried to have conversations with Tupper before filing the documents in court.

Trouble started when the 20-year-old revealed that he wanted to be the administrator of his mother’s estate.

His filing prompted a reaction from Tupper who  asked that the court appoint a third party or himself as the executor of the estate.

Tupper noted his reason for the request was because Laffoon was unemployed.

Laffoon responded that his emolument status had nothing to do with him administering his mother’s estate.

At the middle of the pair’s continuous face-off is an email that Heche sent to Tupper before she died.

The actress asked that her estate should go to Tupper in the eventuality of her death.

Laffoon’s lawyers argue that there was no proof that Heche sent thus it should be rendered invalid.
