Billie Eilish recently opened up about the injury that tragically ended her dance career.

A growth-plate injury at 13 years forced her to quit dancing, which heavily traumatized Eilish.

The singer was eventually diagnosed with hypermobility, which made her resistant to treatment, such as massages.

She spoke about how the injury affected her relationship with her body.

Eilish said she felt like her body was “gaslighting” her “for years.”

Eilish’s music career began with dance when she recorded “Ocean Eyes” as an original recital piece.

Eilish said she used to starve herself and once took diet pills.

She revealed that she started wearing baggy outfits because of her horrible relationship with her body.

Eilish also referred to her body as an “ugly friend,” saying their relationship is very complicated.
