Betty White’s life can be best described as well lived and well loved, even if she passed away, shy of a 100.

While fans remember her for all her different avatars, White was also a stepmother to three, never having biological kids.

White was first married to Dick Barker and then to Lane Allen before she finally met the ‘love of her life’, talk-show host, Allen Ludden.

White and Ludden tied the knot in 1963, after Ludden’s first wife passed away from cancer in 1961, leaving behind three children.

They were married till Ludden’s passing in 1981, of stomach cancer, and post that, Betty White never said, ‘I do’ again.

White never regretted not having biological children and was more than happy to assist her husband, Ludden, in raising his brood instead.

Her three stepchildren, David, Martha, and Sarah shared a warm relationship with her till the end even though initially, Martha was not happy with her father’s decision to take Betty as a wife.

While the three remained out of the limelight, they are all successful individuals in their own right, and Betty felt ‘blessed to have them’.

So Betty White as a stepmom is just one more facet of hers, and one her fans may not be aware of as much.
