Barbara Streisand has lost three incredible colleagues in the first week of 2022.

First, she lost director, writer, and actor Peter Bogdanovich.

Peter directed her in the 1972 comedy “What’s Up, Doc?”

She also mourned the loss of late actor Sidney Poitier.

Poitier was the first Black actor to win an Academy Award for Best Actor.

She also lost lyricist and songwriter Marilyn Bergman yesterday.

Bergman and her husband, Alan Bergman, wrote “The Way They Were.”

Streisand performed the song in the film of the same name.

“Their songs are timeless, and so is our love,” Barbara wrote. “May she rest in peace.”
