Alec Baldwin wants to see “Rust” special prosecutor
Andrea Reeb
thrown off the case.
The actor is being charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Halyna Hutchins.
“Rust” armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed is facing the same charges.
On Tuesday, Baldwin’s attorney filed to disqualify Reeb from the case.
The documents were filed in the First Judicial Court of New Mexico.
They state that Reeb’s involvement is “unconstitutional” due to her position in the House of Representatives.
“The legal question is not a close one,” Baldwin’s lawyer said. “She must be disqualified.”
This news comes shortly after first assistant director David Halls was added to the witness list.
David Halls pled guilty to the charge of the negligent use of a weapon.
