Avril Lavigne’s debut album “Let Go” came out on June 4, 2002.

That means that, on Saturday, her first alum celebrated its 20th year anniversary.

Avril celebrated with a special re-release of the album.

It includes the song “Breakaway” which she wrote, but was performed by Kelly Clarkson.

Avril took to Instagram to talk about the “monumental impact it has had” on her life.

She said it’s hard to understand how “songs I wrote as a 17 year old would still resonate with people today.”

She thanked all her fans who had a “connection” to the album.

She expressed “a genuine, heartfelt thank you to anyone that ever listened to my music and stuck around.”

“Happy 20th Anniversary ‘Let Go’ and here’s to another 20 years,” she concluded.
