Austin Butler is still reeling from the unexpected death of Lisa Marie Presley.

While the “Elvis” actor is still flying high from the Golden Globes and Oscar nomination, he’s simultaneously coping with LMP’s passing.

Butler appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Monday, January 30th.

The only daughter of Elvis Presley met Butler during a screening of Baz Luhrmann’s film, “Elvis,” at Graceland.

The fateful meeting would change the course of their friendship forever.

“I've never had an experience where I met somebody and felt an immediate depth of relationship to them,” the actor admitted.

“She was a person who didn't really have anything to prove and wouldn't open up to everyone, and she just opened up to me.”

Two days before she suffered cardiac arrest, Lisa Marie along with her mother, Priscilla Presley, and Butler attended the 80th Golden Globe Awards.

Butler said, “To get to be with her at the Golden Globes, I'll never forget that for the rest of my life.”
