Auli'i Cravalho, the voice actress star of "Moana," is speaking out against Florida's "Don't Say Gay' bill.

She also challenged big corporations like Disney to stand up against the controversial bill.

During an interview, Cravalho said that companies need to stop playing safe and step forward.

Bob Chapek, Disney's CEO, apologized to employees for the company's silence on the bill.

He said he had reached out to DeSantis, who had agreed to meet with him and senior LGBTQ+ Disney staff.

Disney later put out a statement condemning the bill and promising to support it being repealed.

Cravalho also said that it is vital that film corporations use their power to truly help the communities.

DeSantis attacked Disney for being woke on cultural issues and for its denouncement of the bill.

Florida legislature has now passed a bill abolishing special districts, including Disney's Reedy Creek.
