Netflix has renewed the action-comedy series, "FUBAR," starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, following a successful debut.

The announcement was made at the Tudum: A Global Fan Event in Brazil.

The first season, consisting of eight episodes, premiered on May 25 and quickly became Netflix's most-watched show that week.

Since its launch, "FUBAR" has amassed 219 million hours of global viewing time.

The series is created by Nick Santora, and Schwarzenegger serves as both the lead actor and executive producer.

In the second season, Schwarzenegger's character, Luke Brunner, and his daughter Emma, will face the consequences of the first season's finale.

The series also stars Milan Carter, Fortune Feimster, Travis Van Winkle, and Gabriel Luna.

The renewal comes amidst an ongoing labor dispute between the Writers Guild of America and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.

If no new contract is signed by June 30 with the actors' union, SAG-AFTRA, there may be further production delays.

The first season of "FUBAR" is available on Netflix, with season two to follow at a later date.
