Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son, Patrick, features in the recently premiered HBO true-crime drama, The Staircase.

Patrick said his father is obsessed with the drama and the original true-crime documentary.

Schwarzenegger plays the role of Todd Peterson, Peterson’s youngest son, with whom he has a tense relationship.

Schwarzenegger said he didn’t go to Arnold for any advice or guidance on the role.

He said he himself had watched the documentary twice and was excited about the job once he got the role.

Schwarzenegger praised Antonio Campos a lot for helping the actors during their preparation for their roles.

The new HBO drama also stars actors like Sophie Turner, Colin Firth, Toni Collette, and Michael Stuhlbarg.

The drama is partly inspired by the original documentary and revolves around the Petersons’ lives after the death of Kathleen Peterson.

The original Michael Peterson was convicted for his wife’s murder, sentenced to life, and later released after it was revealed that a witness lied.
