Reacts To ‘Life Of The Party’ Track Leaked By Drake: ‘Things Happen Like They Are Supposed To’

Andre 3000 normally maintains a strict distance from the media, but the rapper released a statement through a representative after Drake leaked his track that was left off of 'Donda.'

“A few weeks ago Kanye reached out about me being a part of the Donda album,” said Andre, who admitted being “inspired” when speaking with West.

“It felt appropriate to me to support the Donda concept by referencing my own mother, who passed away in 2013. We both share that loss.”

However, the 'Hey Ya' rapper noted that he recorded his verse long before it became a diss track against Drake.

“”

“The track I received and wrote to didn’t have the diss verse on it and we were hoping to make a more focused offering for the Donda album but I guess things happen like they are supposed to."

Drake leaked the 'Donda' outtake during a Sept. 3 SiriusXM broadcast. Andre's verse is a tribute to his mother, but Kanye specifically mentioned the Toronto rapper's name.

Of course, Drake's indiscretion comes after Kanye leaked his home address. The truce between the two superstars is definitely off... and so are the gloves.
