Anderson Cooper Shares That Richard Gere Helped Him Realize He Was Gay

Anderson Cooper recently shared some details on his sexuality.

According to Cooper he realised he was gay after seeing a certain Hollywood actor shirtless.

Cooper says seeing a shirtless Richard Gere helped him realize he was gay.

In his conversation on Radio Andy hosted by his friend Andy Cohen, Cooper shared that he didn't know he was gay until that moment.

Cooper had gone to see Gere in a broadway show called “Bent."

The play was about two gay men and Cooper went to go see it with his mum’s two gay friends. He was just 11 then.

He revealed that he told Gere about the moment and that he was ‘tickled’ about it.

Cooper came out of the closet in 2012.
