Schumer said she wanted to draw attention to the happenings in the world.

Schumer pointed out that many eyes and ears would be focused on the Oscar ceremony.

Schumer will host the Academy Awards alongside Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes.

Several Hollywood celebrities have supported Ukraine's cause, including Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, and Benedict Cumberbatch.

Oscars showrunners have revealed the nominees for each category.

Many celebs voiced out against the showrunners' decision to omit some award categories from the live broadcast.

Daniel Kaluuya, Anthony Hopkins, and Youn Yuh-Jung are part of presenters that would give out the awards at the ceremony.

The Oscars will be televised on Sunday, March 27.
