Amy Schumer got death threats over her joke about Kirsten Dunst at the 2022 Oscars.

Schumer thought that fans sent the death threats because they believed the joke was real.

Dunst and Plemons were nominated in supporting roles for the movie “The Power of the Dog.”

Both Dunst and Plemons were in on the joke because Schumer contacted them beforehand.

The threats were so concerning that the Secret Service reached out to Schumer.

Dunst tried to stop the threats by revealing that she knew about the joke beforehand.
