Amy Schumer became very famous after her role in “Trainwreck” and is a very popular figure in Hollywood.

Schumer almost played the role of Barbie in the live-action film but stepped down.

Schumer and her sister, Kim Caramele, were meant to work on the film but left because of scheduling conflicts.

She left before the movie started filming, halting production until Sony could find replacements.

She later revealed that she left because she and Sony had creative differences.

She has since featured in the Hulu series Life & Beth and acted in 2021s “The Humans.”

Schumer will co-host the 2022 Oscars alongside Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes.

Sony eventually selected Margot Robbie to act as Barbie and Greta Gerwig to direct.

Robbie said she’s excited to be in the film even though it comes with a lot of baggage.
