Amy Schneider was an openly trans “Jeopardy!” contestant.

She set the second-place record for 40 wins back in January 2022.

PEOPLE just named her in their Women Changing the World in 2022 edition.

Amy said that she tried for over a decade to get on the show.

She said she wasn’t accepted until after she transitioned

She said that she thinks she was finally accepted now that she was living her “real identity.”

She also planned to “feminize” her voice but later decided against it.

She said, “It feels really good to say, 'No, that was just me.'”

She will appear in the 2022 Tournament of Champions later this year.
