Amber Heard is disappointed, to say the least.
The court ruled that she will only recover $2 million dollars in her countersuit against Johnny Depp.
The jury, meanwhile, decided that Depp should recover $15 million.
After the verdict was read, she issued a brief statement to Instagram.
“The disappointment I feel today is beyond words,” she began.
She said she was “heartbroken” that the “mountain of evidence” she presented wasn’t enough.
She called the jury’s ruling a “setback” for women everywhere.
“I’m sad I lost this case,” Heard admitted, before concluding:
“But I am sadder still that I seem to have lost a right I thought I had as an American – to speak freely and openly.”
