Amber Heard is filing an appeal against her ex-husband, Johnny Depp.

On June 1, a jury sided squarely in Depp’s favor.

They awarded him $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages.

That $5M was later reduced to $350,000, the maximum allowed under state law.

In early November, Johnny Depp filed an appeal against Heard’s $2M judgement.

A few weeks later, Heard’s legal team also filed their appeal against Depp.

Heard’s new legal team claims “this case also should never have gone to trial.”

They cited Depp losing his own defamation case against The Sun as legal precedent.

They also said the decision will have a “chilling” effect on other survivors of domestic abuse.
