Alec Baldwin has spoken up about the ‘Rust’ shooting for the first time.

Weeks ago, the actor fired a gun on set that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza

Alec during a head-on conversation with the paparazzi mourned the loss of Hutchins.

He described her as a “friend” and recalled taking her and Souza to dinner on the first day of shooting.

Alec revealed that he was in touch with Hutchins’ husband and son, supporting them through the difficult period.

Given that investigations are still ongoing, Alec didn’t go into details about the matter

He, however, opened up about the issue of using firearms on film sets.

The actor advocated for a reform of firearm use while shooting and the implementation of tight safety measures.

He also shared that he didn’t think the production of “Rust” would continue following the tragic event.
