Alec Baldwin is facing two counts of involuntary manslaughter for the death of Halyna Hutchins.

His first hearing was scheduled for Friday, February 24.

On Thursday, Baldwin entered a not guilty plea.

As such, Friday’s hearing is canceled.

Baldwin could face up to 18 months behind bars and a $5,000 fine if convicted.

The second charge previously carried an additional firearm enhancement.

That charge came with a mandatory five-year prison sentence if convicted.

However, the firearm enhancement wasn’t on the books when Hutchins was killed.

As such, it was later removed by the prosecution “to avoid further litigious distractions.”
