The verdict in the Ahmaud Arbery case was decided on Wednesday, November 24, 2021.

All three men accused of his killing were found guilty of felony murder

Travis McMichael was found guilty of all nine charges.

Arbery’s mother, Wanda Cooper Jones, made a statement shortly after the verdict was read.

She thanked everyone who “fought this fight with us.”

She revealed that, in 2020, she “never thought this day would come.”

Although her son was killed in February, it took over two months for the men to be arrested.

She added that “God is good” and thanked all those who protested and prayed.

She concluded her statement by saying that Arbery can now rest in peace.
