Nicola Coughlan was in “Derry Girls,” “Harlots,” and “Bridgerton.”

Coughlan said she’d rather be known as an actress than a body positivity advocate.

She said her relationship with her body was personal, the same as everyone else.

Coughlan wrote a piece for the Guardian in 2018 concerning cutting comments about her body.

She said she hoped people focused on her work rather than her body in the future.

Coughlan asked her Instagram followers to stop commenting on her body.

She said she was aware of comments about her but didn’t want them to be sent directly to her.

Coughlan talked about interviews where sexist questions were thrown at actresses.

She said her body is a tool for her art and not what she defined herself by.
