The special was set to air on December 14 with Nick Carter and his band members – AJ McLean, Brian Littrell, Kevin Richardson, and Howie Dorough.

It was focused on celebrating the Christmas season with the boy band performing some of the biggest songs from their tenth album, "A Very Backstreet Christmas."

Unfortunately its host channel ABC scrapped it after a woman – Shannon "Shay" Ruth – alleged that Nick had raped her when she was 17.

Shannon alleged that the incident occurred after a February 2001 concert in Washington State.

The singer had assaulted the autistic teenager who also lives with cerebral palsy on his tour bus.

She said it took her such a long time to tell her story because she was scared of going to jail.

The Backstreet Boys auctioned their music and time to a devoted fan and a guest of their choosing.

The auction started at $999, with its net proceeds going to a recognized charity organization.

It was won by Amber Walz and Julie Wagoner.
