A 911 dispatcher may soon be out of a job.

One woman told WGRZ she called to report the Buffalo mass shooting as it happened.

She was inside the store and whispering to the dispatcher.

However, she said that the 911 dispatcher hung up on her.

Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz said the dispatcher has been suspended.

She has not been identified but she has worked there for eight years.

She may be fired depending an administrative investigation.

“We teach our 911 call takers that if someone is whispering, it probably means they are in trouble,” Poloncarz claimed.

He said that the audio and call transcript will eventually be released to the public.
