UFC is returning to its roots and bringing new life into their old logo which they used when Dana White still had a full head of hair.

Zuffa, which owns the UFC, filed documents on October 6 to trademark the logo that was used during the beginning days of UFC. "UFC 1" aired in 1993.

The logo is described as a "man with fists raised standing above the earth with a banner with the text 'ULTIMATE FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP' written across it waving across the earth."

According to the documents, Zuffa wants the retro logo for a clothing line, including; performance apparel, warm-up suits, headwear, hooded sweat shirts, tank tops, jackets, footwear, gloves, and scarves.

The logo is awesome, but don't hold your breath for a Royce Gracie vs Ken Shamrock rematch.
