The St. Louis protests erupted on Friday when former police officer Jason Stockley, a white man, was found not guilty of murder in the 2011 shooting of motorist Anthony Lamar Smith, a black man.

The demonstrations quickly turned violent, with protesters blocking highways and breaking out the windows of buildings.

So far, there have been 32 arrests and nine injured police officers.
