Timbaland Drops $3.8 Million to Settle Beef with Uncle Sam

Mega music producer Timbaland cut a massive check to the government to settle his tax debt.

According to documents obtained by The Blast, Timbaland owed $3.8 million in back taxes. The government filed a lien against his property in October, but has released it now that he’s paid in full.

The docs say Timbaland owed $117,230.19 for 2012, $1,750,048.34 for 2014, and $1,951,472.76 for 2015.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Timbaland confessed to years of money problems and a prescription pill problem (and his divorce didn’t help matters). He says he dealt with depression issues as well, but he’d been feeling better recently and gotten back to work.
