Tekashi69 has kicked off his long week of courtroom appearances, but the demeanor he brought was much different than his usual flashy self.
The case in Brooklyn stems from his July 11 arrest at JFK airport after returning to the U.S. from Europe. The "STOOPID" rapper allegedly squeezed the hand of an officer too hard and was charged with the assault.
On Tuesday, Tekashi showed up to the Brooklyn courthouse, but appeared very quiet. We wouldn't dare say the chance of prison has humbled the hip-hop star, but it's possible the severity of the case has finally snapped him into reality. His attitude was much different from over the weekend, where he seemed carefree while partying in the club with 50 Cent.
However, his court appearance was very quick and the case was continued until November. It's possible the singer wants to get his other criminal issues out of the way before accepting any sort of plea deal in Brooklyn.
Later this week, the hip-hop star is expected to be in Houston to deal with the other assault case against a 16-year-old boy, and then on Friday he's back in New York for sentencing in the child sex case where he's been accused of violating probation.
