Tekashi69 was allegedly assaulted and robbed early Sunday morning in New York City and the NYPD is currently investigating the incident.
According to the NYPD, Tekashi walked into the 79th precinct in Brooklyn to report a robbery. He told police he was a passenger in a Chevy Tahoe at the intersection of Atlantic & Bedford Ave in Brooklyn at approx 4:25 AM when a dark-colored sedan bumped the rear of the car he was in.
He said that two males exited the vehicle and approached the car and displayed a firearm. Tekashi claims the suspects took the driver’s cell phone and forced Tekashi into the dark color sedan.
Tekashi told police he was attacked and driven to a residence located nearby. He said was told to call an individual inside the residence and ask them to bring down personal property. Tekashi obliged and an unknown amount of jewelry was handed over to the suspect.
The vehicle drove off and Tekashi was able to get out. He then walked into the 79th precinct at approx 5:05 AM to report the incident but later became uncooperative with police.
No arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
Tekashi's baby mama posted a message on her Instagram early Sunday morning, writing, "I ask that everyone respect my privacy and give me and my family some time and not bombard me with questions. I do appreciate the prayers and concerns."
A friend of 6ix9ine's posted that he didn't know anything about the alleged incident, but he was "sure he's okay."
Sunday is supposed to be a big day for the rapper — he's been teasing a remix to his song "FeFe" which is supposed to be released today and feature Nicki Minaj.
This is a developing story ...
