Taylor Swift makes dreams come true.
After 8-year-old Isabella McCune posted a video online that she had hoped to go to Swift’s concert in Glendale, AZ — but could not leave the hospital — Swift showed up to pay the young fan a visit.
Swift made a visit to the Arizona Burn Center in Phoenix on Saturday to see McCune, who was burned in a terrible accident back in March.
“Taylor took time out of her busy, busy schedule and sat down on the bed next to Isabella,” her mother, Lilly McCune, told PEOPLE. “She brought her a bag with goodies from her tour. She said she had to meet her because she was so inspired by her story and honored that her music helped her.”
Lilly said the family managed to keep Swift’s appearance a secret from Isabella.
“She was so shocked! She was speechless. She was so happy,” Lilly told PEOPLE. “We were hoping for it but we didn’t want to get her hopes up. When we found out, we felt it was best to keep it a secret.”
Lilly also said that Isabella wasn’t just your run-of-the-mill fan, but rather Taylor’s music helped her through her treatment at the hospital.
“It was important for Isabella to tell Taylor how much her music means to her,” she said. “She wanted to tell Taylor the difference she’s making in her recovery.”
