The old Taylor is not dead, she was just recommissioned to serve out her years as an online retail outlet for the star's defunct merchandise.
According to documents obtained by The Blast, Taylor Swift filed on December 23 to trademark "The Old Taylor."
"The Old Taylor" is a lyric from her song, "Look What You Made Me Do," and has never fully been explained. Most fans agree it represents Swift attempting to ditch her sweet demeanor to become a bad-ass lyricist in the next phase of her musical career.
According to the star's legal filing, "The Old Taylor" will now be used for "On-line retail store services." The documents also point to Swift's website, where "The Old Taylor" section has been added, and allows for purchases of "All Official Taylor Swift merch from past eras."
The store features merchandise from Swift's "1989 World Tour" and "Speak Now World Tour," as well as her original albums.
There's even a Taylor Swift Christmas stocking marked down to just $2!
