Rene Nezhoda didn't walk away from the storage lot a winner. In fact, he didn't walk away at all.
Nezhoda tells The Blast he was offloading a 500 pound safe from his truck after making a big score in Arcadia, CA when it slipped out of his hands and landed on his right leg.
Luckily for the "Storage Wars" star it didn't crush his leg into smithereens, but it did leave a gnarly wound.
We're told he called 911, but when emergency crews responded Nezhoda got patched up at the scene and opted to drive himself to the ER for six stitches.
However, almost severing a leg wasn't the worst part of Nezhoda's day. His injury prevented him from opening the safe and seeing if he scored something valuable.
Season 11 of "Storage Wars" begins in November.
