'Star Trek' Star Michael Dorn Recognized for Legendary Trekkie Run with Prestigious Trophy

By TheBlast Staff

Michael Dorn, who played the lovable and ornery Klingon, Worf, in both "Star Trek: The Next Generation and "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine," is getting recognition for another galactic achievement.

Dorn recently appeared on "The Night Time Show Podcast" hosted by former "Big Time Rush" star Stephen Kramer Glickman. The show, co-hosted by comedians Mike Black, Matt Walker and Mike Glazer was taped with a live audience at the Hollywood Improv.

The "Star Trek" star was given a trophy and recognized as "The Best Podcast Guest In The Universe," which he humbly accepted. Glickman tells The Blast Dorn was able to become the best in the universe because he's spent more days in the makeup chair than any other actor ... ever.

Dorn, who wore the iconic Klingon prosthetic makeup as Worf for both "Star Trek" series, has accumulated a time of over 1,000 days in the makeup chair. He also appeared in more "Star Trek" episodes than any other actor in history, with a count of 288.

Other guests who appeared on the live podcast were Joey Fatone, Bill "Cru Jones" Allen who starred in the iconic 80s BMX flick, "Rad," and Dana Snyder, who voices Master Shake on the popular animated show, "Aqua Teen Hunger Force."

"The Night Time Show Podcast" has been running once a month for the past three years. Their next show, on December 15, is also a charity benefit and toy drive for Children's Hospital Los Angeles.
